The unique design of the Active half on the ChargePoint® allows an SIP Passive to be located within the Active enabling the disc to be opened. A pressure seal is maintained by an o-ring seal on the outer perimeter of the SIP Passive. Steam is then introduced (in line with an appropriate approved procedure). Vaporised Hydrogen Peroxide has also been used as an alternative decontamination process.
- Sterilize the inner surfaces of the valve, disc and disc edges.
