Choose ChargePoint® for contained powder handling with IBC’s

The ChargePoint® range of containment valves have been long established as an ideal method for the safe transfer of API’s (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) throughout Pharmaceutical production processes. Now, with ChargePoint® DL split butterfly valve technology, the fast and secure transfer of larger quantities of ingredients in solid dose production has just become more efficient and economical.

The ChargePoint® DL system has been specifically developed to meet the challenges of contained materials handling with IBC’s (Intermediate Bulk Containers). As an interface between the IBC and process equipment, the ChargePoint® DL offers the ability to safely transfer product ensuring a dust free, high containment operation when handling API’s and other formulation ingredients. The design of the DL, with patented DiscLock™ technology, also ensures that maximum yield is achieved from each transfer in a fast and repeatable manner. Sensitive product is also protected from contamination by this secure split valve design.

ChargePoint Technology Ltd also offer to supply the complete engineering integration of the DL valve with IBC’s, lifting hoists and other process equipment such as mills or sieves. As an independent supplier they work in partnership with OEM’s (Original Equipment Supplier) to deliver an integrated solution tailored to both the specific process requirements and budget.

The valve technology and integrated IBC systems from ChargePoint® offer solutions for each step of the manufacturing process from API dispensing through to tabletting and packaging:

  • IBC docking stations for through the floor filling.
  • Fully automated operation for inaccessible or hazardous areas.
  • Solutions for direct IBC-to-IBC transfers (e.g. when adding exipients)
  • PowerDock™ system to facilitate the raise and lower docking of the valve and correct misalignment of the process equipment for repeatable docking accuracy.
  • BridgeBreak™ device to prevent bridging of product in the container.
  • Deceleration devices for gentle tablet handling.
  • Wash In Place devices for filling and discharge stations.
  • Systems for effective cleaning within a remote IBC washing booth.

Whatever the specific needs, ChargePoint® DL technology with integrated IBC systems can help you improve on the three key elements of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE): availability; performance and quality for more efficient and economic solid dose production.
