The IT Support Manager manages the network and server infrastructure of the business, controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations. Security being at the forefront of Business Systems and data, this role oversees that all security standards are adhered to.
Supervision of computer-related activities together with the External IT Support Team.
Ensure any systems vulnerabilities are highlighted to the relevant parties, timely and mitigated accordingly. Working with users to resolve any individual support.
Helping set Corporate IT standards and ensuring industry best practice processes are adhered to.
Duties
Liaise with External IT Support Team and ensure SLA is adhered to
Liaise with vendors to maintain software systems functional
Ensure effective management of Disaster Recovery Procedures within the business
Manage and maintain effective data backup procedures
User maintenance – AD and Office 365
Ensure effective management of source control
Management of the LAN
Help in diagnosing and resolving day-to-day IT/IS issues within the business
Ensure users adhere to the IT Corporate Policy
Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
Audit systems and identify potential problematic areas, implementing strategic solutions in time
Any other tasks deemed commensurate with the role of IT Support Manager
Key Competencies
A great communicator with excellent organisational skills
Hands on experience with Network administration and installation
Ability to prioritise workloads in accordance with Corporate Strategy – Business to IT alignment
Constant updating of IT/IS skills to take advantage of new technologies
An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving abilities
Skills and Experience
Experience of working within a similar position
Certification in MS Server, MS SQL MS SSRS, MS DNS, RDS configuration
Setup and Management of LAN and Wi-Fi Server and equipment
Administration of AD including Dynamic Dist. Lists and on-premises MS AD
Administration of O365 via MS Portal
Preferable experience with ERP systems
Ideally previous development experience
Qualifications
Degree IT/IS related
Regulatory certification in Cyber Essentials, GDPR, DPA and ISO
Knowledge of law relating to IT (Eg. CMA 1990)
