We are looking for a skilled metal finisher / polishing operatives to join our part-finishing team, who apply a   high quality finish to internally manufactured stainless steel components for the pharmaceutical industry.

 

The Role

  • Predominantly mirror or satin finishing products manufactured from stainless steel or Hastelloy, utilizing fixed and hand-held polishing equipment.
  • Prepping parts for and loading / unloading parts into trough vibrator (Rosler)
  • Operation of a parts wash booth
  • Loading and unloading parts into an ultraclean wash/passivation system
  • Quality checking your own work at each step and ensuring that parts meet high surface finish requirements and are free from damage and contamination
  • Final inspection processes using hard gauging and CMM equipment
  • Daily and weekly maintenance of all equipment in the part-finishing cell
  • Picking finished parts to contracts, ready for build.

 

Essential Experience and Skills

  • At least 3 years previous experience (essential)
  • Experience in using hand grinders in a production environment
  • Experience of working in a metal manufacturing industry
  • We would be interested to hear from you if you have held positions such as polisher, grinder, fettler or linisher.
  • Quality focused, with great attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Self-sufficient and proactive team player with excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Focused on the detail

 

Shift Information

Bi-weekly rotating shift pattern as per below:

Week One       Thursday to Saturday              05:55-17:40

Week Two        Monday to Wednesday          05:55-17:40

 

11.75 hours per day, includes 1.25 hours of paid breaks
