We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician to join the Quality Department and play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our products by checking incoming goods, recording results and supporting the process for handling any issues.  The successful candidate will work closely with different teams in support of the deviations process to resolve any non-conformances effectively.

 

The Role

Incoming goods inspection

  • Conduct visual and basic dimensional inspections of incoming materials and components against approved specifications and drawings
  • Recording inspection results accurately
  • Identifying and separating items that don’t meet requirements

Deviations and Non-Conformance Management

  • Assisting in initiating and processing deviation reports for non-conforming goods
  • Collaborating with suppliers, purchasing and internal teams to resolve supplier quality issues

Documentation

  • Maintaining accurate inspection records and following company quality standards

 

To excel in this role, you’ll be comfortable working independently, managing your own workload and making sound decisions while also contributing effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional team.  A strong commitment to quality is essential with a focus on accuracy, consistency and attention to detail in every task.

 

You will also possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills.  A positive, proactive mindset will help you to navigate challenges, support continuous improvement and build productive relationships across the business.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a quality inspection or similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of quality principles
  • Experience in non-conformance management and deviation processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with ERP/QMS systems is beneficial, though not essential

 

Working Hours

This is a site-based role, working 37.5 hours per week:

Monday to Thursday

8am/9am to 4.30pm/5.30pm (working 8 hours per day)

Friday

8am/9am to 2pm/3pm (working 5.5 hours per day)
