Reporting to the Stores Team Leader, the Stores Handler will be responsible for managing all inventory control related activities, executing inventory control measures to ensure the Company maximises stock system and paperwork accuracy. The Stores Handler will work cross-functionally with the Purchasing, Manufacturing, Shipping and Documentation, Assembly and Spares and Sales.
OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE
Achieve a minimum of 95% stock accuracy.
100% goods receipt on day of receipt.
Spare parts – Packed and shipped by day two.
Ensure 100% accuracy of certificates received in line with industry demands.
MAIN DUTIES
Be responsible for receiving goods into the system and ensure the correct documentations is stored against the goods receipt alongside putting the goods into the correct locations.
Ensure all sub-contracts are picked, issued, and packed ready to be sent. On return of the items, they are receipted into the business.
Ensure the picking and packing of spares orders including the correct documentation is provided to the customer and meets the business delivery on time KPI’s.
Ensure all finish goods are securely packed and correct weight and dimensions information is passed to shipping department in line with the business demands.
Ensure the stores area is well organised, tidy, and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business. (Including access to the yard)
Ensure works orders are fully picked and issued to allow for the production teams to complete the builds in a timely manner.
Ensure any late materials are passed to the production team in a timely manner.
Ensuring kits are picked and packed in accordance with the SOP’s and system guidance.
Participate in perpetual stock counting/ inventory accuracy checks as well as planned annual stock takes to ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
Maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory to minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete/ redundant raw materials and maintain stock locations correctly.
Maintain control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved.
Ensure the company procedures are always followed.
Load and un-load vehicles using suitable equipment (including FLT/Reach truck) to ensure to follow safe working methods, including transfer of stock between offsite locations.
Any other tasks deemed commensurate with the role of Stores Handler
